HOW WILL I KNOW IF AN OFF-THE-RACK DRESS WILL FIT?
The following two measurements need to be noted when reviewing the measurements listed in our for sale gallery:
Overall Length is measured from the top of the shoulder (at the seam where back meets front) straight down the side of the body beside the bust (not over the bust) to the finished hem of the skirt.
The drop measurement is measured around the body where the bodice meets the skirt. In order to see where this falls on your dancer you would measure from the top of the shoulder straight down to where the bodice meets the skirt and measure around the body at that spot. In most cases this is below the hip bone measurement as all our dresses have a dropped waist with a short skirt.
